The CDF exists to protect cyclists and regularly supports legal cases which advance cyclists’ legal rights, either through financial support or by providing guidance and information. This includes defending cyclists from unwarranted prosecution.
In practice, this means CDF looks for cases that we believe have the potential to set a legal precedent. We want to support cases that could permanently alter the legal situation for cycling – and thus have the power to encourage or discourage large numbers of people to cycle.

We are a small charity and we are only able to assist a small percentage of the cases that come to us. If you would like assistance from us, please complete and submit a Request for Assistance form.
