The Cyclists' Defence Fund (CDF) looks for cases that we believe have the potential to set a legal precedent. We want to support cases that could permanently alter the legal situation for cycling – and thus have the power to encourage or discourage large numbers of people to cycle.
CDF does not provide legal advice, but we may be able to:
- Clarify the law for you (you may find the information you need in the 'Legal Information' section)
- Put you in touch with a legal professional who can help you;
- Support your legal case financially;
- Support your legal case through non-financial means.
In order to find out what sort of help you need, please choose what sort of case you need help with from one of the categories below. By clicking on the link you will be taken to the appropriate assistance application form. We will respond to your enquiry in due course.
If you are in doubt about whether you meet the criteria for receiving assistance from CDF, please send us a brief email outlining your situation and we will advise on what course of action to take. Email firstname.lastname@example.org
